Our Location

Located in the shadows of Mount Lassen, The Refuge Retreat Center is just 30 minutes east of Redding, California, and about 3 hours north of Sacramento.

Guests can choose to see the many sights nearby:

• Lassen National Volcanic Park,
• Burney Falls,
• Lake Shasta,
• Whiskeytown Lake,
• or our own Bailey Creek and ponds

By Air

We’re a 40-minute drive from Redding Regional Airport (RDD), which is served daily by United Express (flying to San Francisco and Los Angeles), Alaska Airlines (flying to Seattle), and Avelo Airlines. (flying to Las Vegas and Burbank). Rental cars are available from Budget, Avis and Hertz. Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) are both approximately 3 hours away and offer flights on other airlines.

By Car

Upon confirmation of your stay, we’ll provide you with our physical address. As cell phone coverage in our area is spotty, be sure to leave home with directions in hand before you depart.

By Train

Amtrak provides daily service to the City of Redding with the Coast Starlight train, linking Shasta County with the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento in the south and Seattle and Portland in the north.
