Who We Are

David P. Costillo, MA
Co-Founder & President

David’s passion is to care for the souls of people and help them more deeply and readily connect with Jesus through His word, His people, and His world so that our society may reflect Him more completely. He wants to see people from all walks of life fall more and more in love with Jesus, to help people connect with each other, and to provide space for people to learn, think, grow, and contemplate God’s love for them.  A graduate of Biola University’s Torrey Honors College and the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology, David and his wife Jennifer have been married since 2002 and have two daughters.  David is a spiritual director with  ESDA, is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance, and serves as coordinator of connections and communications at St James Lutheran Church in Redding, CA. Previously, David served as high school Bible teacher at Redding Christian School in Palo Cedro, CA.  He can also make a mean cup of coffee, enjoys swinging a hammer or a chain saw, and enjoys a good conversation with friends.

Jennifer M. Costillo, PsyD
Co-Founder & Vice President
Jennifer’s desire is to see others truly experience and live in and out of the love of Christ by knowing and being known by Him. She is committed to deepening her own relationship with the Trinity, as well as walking alongside others to more fully realize “how wide and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that [they] may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:18-19). In addition to earning her certificate in spiritual direction from Sustainable Faith, Jennifer is a licensed clinical psychologist having earned her doctorate from Azusa Pacific University, completing her postdoctoral fellowship at Rose City Center. She is a professor at Shasta College and co-homeschools her two daughters alongside David. Previously, she has served as chair of the undergraduate psychology department and assistant professor at Simpson University, as well as adjunct professor in the Masters in Counseling Psychology program, and dual enrollment instructor at Redding Christian School. She also has experience serving as an adjunct professor in the PsyD and master’s programs at Azusa Pacific University. Jennifer is passionate about working with and teaching youth and greatly enjoys spending time with her family, friends, discovering new things, providing space for others and cultivating and enjoying the land.
